I began making this album in my apartment in 2009. Because I could no longer afford the cost of recording in a studio, I was forced to come up with an alternative way of doing things. To that end, the songs on "Harpo's Blues" were among the first recordings I did completely on my own. I truly had no idea what I could do or how I could go about doing it, but looking back, I think what I did was blow up everything I'd done before. Recently, I pulled out the files and remixed the entire album, correcting some of the mistakes I'd made, tweaking a few things here and there, replacing some drum tracks that sounded dated, but at the same time being mindful not to fuck with it too much and destroy the original vibe, which, to be honest, was a bit nuts.
